Leadership

K.C. Crosthwaite

Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

K.C. has over 20 years of experience in product development, management, and stakeholder and regulatory engagement. Most recently, he served as Chief Growth Officer of Altria, where he spent several years focused on alternatives to combustible cigarettes. K.C. graduated from Marquette University and earned his MBA from Providence College.

Emily Aldridge

VP, Head of HR & Associate General Counsel, Employment

Emily has more than a decade of legal experience and has been a key member of the Juul Labs team. She has held many roles in the company, leading to her current role as Head of HR and Associate General Counsel, Employment. Prior to joining Juul Labs, Emily was a litigation associate at both plaintiffs’ and defense firms, including Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher for five years. She was also a judicial clerk for the Honorable Denny Chin on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. She holds a B.A. from Fordham University and received her J.D. from the Fordham University School of Law.

Robyn Gougelet

Vice President, US Regulatory Affairs

Robyn brings years of experience working with highly regulated industries. Prior to leading our U.S. regulatory efforts at Juul Labs, she worked for Pinney Associates where she reached Vice President, Health Policy and Regulatory Strategy. Prior to that, Robyn worked in government relations for Trust for America’s Health, a non-profit, non-partisan organization in Washington, D.C. dedicated to saving lives by protecting the health of every community and working to make disease prevention a national priority. She received a BA in History from the University of Maryland.

Vittal Kadapakkam

Chief Strategy Officer

Vittal has a decade of experience in public and private financial markets with a focus on investing in technology companies while at Millennium, Corvex, and KKR. He began his career in consumer/retail investment banking at Goldman Sachs. Vittal graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Princeton University.

Rudy Lawrence

Chief Operations Officer

Rudy has over 23 years of operations, supply chain, engineering and manufacturing experience in the tech industry, most recently leading Contract Manufacturing and Strategic Sourcing at Microsoft. Rudy is a double graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Geological + Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Engineering Management.

Tyler Mace

Chief Legal Officer

Tyler spent 10 years at Kirkland & Ellis, one of the largest legal firms in the U.S., before joining Philip Morris International as Assistant General Counsel for six years. Tyler holds a B.S. from Washington Adventist University and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

Stefanie Miller

Vice President of External Affairs

Stefanie spent more than a decade as a Wall Street analyst with expertise in political and policy risk to financial markets and companies therein, including the nicotine and tobacco industries. She began her career working for a former U.S. senator from her home state of Nebraska. Stefanie received a B.A. from the University of Nebraska and an M.B.A. from Georgetown University.

Ashok Ram Mohan

Chief Commercial Officer

Ashok brings over 30 years of experience in Commercial Business Development and General Management across Asia and Europe. He began his career in 1990 as an Industrial Engineer at Fisher-Rosemount India. Joining Philip Morris International (PMI) in 1996, he held various leadership roles, including President of the e-Vapor category. In the past 14 years, he focused on commercialisation of reduced-risk alternatives to cigarettes in Switzerland, Japan, and Russia. Ashok holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Anna University, an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management, and is a CFA charter holder from the Association of Investment Management & Research, USA.

Joe Murillo

Advisor to the CEO

Throughout the course of his career, Joe developed extensive knowledge of bringing alternatives to combustible cigarettes to market. Prior to joining Juul Labs, he served as Altria’s Senior Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, where he led regulatory strategies and FDA submissions for Altria’s harm reduction product portfolio. Joe began his career as a commercial litigator in New York City. He earned a B.A. from the University of Miami and received a J.D. from Columbia Law School.

Kirk Phelps

Chief Product Officer

Kirk started his career at Apple, where he worked in product development for the first generation iPhone and a number of other mobile products. After Apple, he held leadership roles in residential solar electricity and manufacturing-grade 3D printing. Kirk attended Stanford University where he studied Computer Science and Product Design.

Melissa Wisdom

International Managing Director

Melissa has a wealth of experience in highly complex, regulated industries. She was most recently the Chief Commercial Officer of Stonegate Group, the owner of more than 4,500 pubs in the UK. Prior to that, she was commercial director at Diageo, a multinational premium beverage company. Melissa graduated from Downing College , Cambridge University with a degree in Law.

Lindsay Witmer

Head of Global Quality

Lindsay has more than 20 years of quality assurance experience. She spent the majority of her career at Dentsply Sirona, a Dental equipment and supplies manufacturing company, where she held multiple positions in quality assurance, ultimately leading the team as Vice President. Lindsay earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Secondary Education from State University of New York at Oswego. She holds multiple advanced degrees including a Master of Science Environmental and Chemical Resource Engineering from State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, an MBA from Wilmington University, and a Master of Science Regulatory Affairs and Health Policy from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
