Social media can be an important channel for adult smokers to access information about alternatives to combustible cigarettes.
However, data also shows that social media can become a source of product exposure to those who are underage.
Recognizing this, Juul Labs decided, in November 2018, to exit social media platforms in the U.S., including Facebook and Instagram. We have maintained a Twitter presence exclusively for non-promotional corporate communications.
In addition, we work with the social-media platforms to remove third-party product listings and content relating to JUUL products or products purported to be “JUUL”.
